I have not totally forgotten about our blog. I have been debating for the past six months what to share and what not to share. Here is what Ive come up with: We have had a very hard year, particullarly the past 4 months, im not going to indulge with details, but it finally feels like things are looking up for us. Marcus is doing well, and stays busy everyday with recovery from the moment he wakes up, to the moment he goes to bed, I'm very proud of him and we are grateful for family and close friends and the prayers we have recieved. Will it stay this way forever? I am optimistic and hope that it will. I got a job at a salon here in Kennewick as a Nail tech, after about a month I knew it was not where I was supposed to be and I quit. With Marcus being gone I went to Utah for 3 weeks. I had a great visit and got to see lots of friends and family. Baylee is 1 yr and 5 months... going on 13. She has us laughing most of the time, with her over-the-top personality and TANTRUMS.. she obsessed with Dogs, playing in the car, and somehow she always knows where we've hid the "reeesh"(treats). She says NO, UH oh! Mama Dada dawd(dog) woof MiMi(blankie)Baby,Ball..and so on, you know the basics. When she sees me grab a diaper she hides in her little fort we made her and pretends to blend in with her toys. This past week she came down with a fever and Marcus took her to the doctor she had a fever of 105! she had both strep and an ear infection, poor baby! shes doing much better but I definately think all that down time is catching with up because she has been a handful.I can't believe how grown up she is and we love her.

I recently got hired at Bath and BOdy works, its seasonal with a chance to stay on after the season. Ive worked a few times and so far I'm really happy there and have a lot of fun! not to mention I always come home smelling fantastic! Marcus has had some bids and is working on a fairly large job this week. Were looking forward to the holidays(in laws up here for thanksgiving, were headed down there for christmas) and hopefully 2011 will be a brighter year for us! Im slacking on pictures.. we dont have a camera.. isnt that crazy??

We have been SUPER busy! We got our family pictures done by Mindy Young, we think it went great we can't wait to see them! by brother Nathan and his wife Jamie have come out to visit, its been a good visit, we went down to the cabin for a weekend, did some fishin and played games and just relaxed. Then they went with my parents to Moab and we came home. We went to my grandparents for the 4th bbq, it was good to see everyone. We have been swimming quite a bit, Marcus redid the doors in my parents house, and this weekend him and I are headed to Park city for 2 nights! we are very excited to slow down a little and just enjoy each other. We head home I think this thursday and hopefully we will have some jobs waiting for us, Marcus has had about 2 calls a week wanting bids. Baylee had her year appt she weighs only 18 lbs!! Can you believe that she is 15% weight and off the charts in height! other than that is healthy the doc was a little concerned about her weight but said as long as she eats(and she does) and is 20 lbs by the next appt then she is not too worried. Bay has gotten 2 molars now! she is so funny, she has to have a cracker or a bag of cereal or a bag of goldfish to just tote around pretty much at all times! she loves swimming, we take her about every day! and thats about it for now!

Baylee turned 1 yesterday! can I tell you how stressful/wonderful/emotional day it was!? we had a bbq swim party at my parents house and it was themed pink Lemonade. We had lemon cake balls, lemon bars, pink lemonade cupcakes, pink lemonade and of course all the food that goes along with a bbq. We had perfect weather and a good time. marcus rented a helium tank... isn't he funny? He comes home with a helium tank and 150 balloons!! he ahd fun blowin them up and set up the back yard while my parents and I ran errands and baked! I can't believe how fast this year has gone by and I'm really excited for the next year. We love our little Baylee and what a blessing she is to our lives, and what a little sweetheart she is... with a little bit of drama queen.

Indiana

We made it there and back and we had a great time! Indiana is a beautiful place and had perfect weather(for the most part). We aldo stayed at a great cabin on the lake. We went back there for the Hoffman family reunion and I had no clue what to expect but I had a lot of fun and I loved meeting them! It was nice to relax and just hang out, we went to the Amish flea market, and even had a tornado.. the bad part: our plane was delayed three hours coming home and we didnt get home till 1 a.m. I didn't even think about taking pictures until like the last 2 days so here are a few we got.

Its been a bit, but whats new. Baylee turns one at the end of the month, and I can't believe it. She has been walking for a while now, but hasn't been very good at it till this last week she has been taking off. She is so funny and has everyone laughing! she Talks and talks and talks and is always yelling at the top of her lungs, and then laughing at herself. She has learned to do a somersault, oh man we love her! yes, we are back in utah. its partly my fault, but I am craving some stability! June will go by fast though because we are going to Indiana for a week, then its Baylees birthday, and then my brother nathan and his wife Jamie are coming out for a visit, and then hopefully we will be headed home. I can't wait becasue Im on this refurnishing furniture kick... and my parents are going crazy with all the furniture in their garage. Marcus has work here in Utah which is nice! He has been helping me with my furniture projects and has been very patient with me(Im a newbie, hes not) and my crazy ideas! (I also just think hes happy I have something other than baylee and shopping to occupy my time). So thats about it! Here's some pics of our little monster!

WE finished the bathroom a week or so ago so here it is! I have no Before pics, but what is used to be was a stand uo shower with w/ a linen closet next to it, Marcus tore that out at out in a jetted tub and we(yes, WE) tiled everything, painted put in a new vanity and toilet, and decorated. Marcus also went as far as to put a light above the shower, we thought it was kinda dark.. and we LOOOOOOVE it. I'm being spoiled, I never want to shower in our other bathroom ever again. So now we have BAylees room, and our bathroom done, On to the next project.

My husband is crafty... in a manly way! I have a love/hate relationship with his talents! Love: He can build/remodel things I never would have dreamed(e.x. our floors, bathroom, baylees room)and saves us lots of money. Hate: arent I suppossed to be the crafty one?? My whole family is crafty, its in my blood somewhere. So, Im on a quest to get crafty! MArcus bought me a new camera for my birthday, which isnt until monday, but he knew i wanted to get pics of the nursery up so he gave it to me early! what a sweetie. So here they are! Marcus and I finished Baylees room!I figured out how to get pics on the computer when my camera died before i take a finished pic! I love the way it turned out, we did have a slight problem with the white paint, it was peeling opff with the tape! so we have some touch ups to do, and closet doors to buy, and it will be done!Marcus has had several jobs, and we are grateful for that.Baylee gets closer and closer to walking everyday. We have reached a new phase: she wants to feed herself. Ive had to get creative in coming up with food she wont choke on, that is nutritous and will fill her up! but its kinda nice, because now i get to eat at the same time too!here some pics of the last little while, and I'll get some of her bedroom finished up here soon!

New cord, or new camera?

I have had my camera since i was 18. it has been dropped, stepped on, spilt on, chewed on, and pretty much everything that can be done to destroy a camera. SO the problem is do I go a buy a new cord so i can post pictures? or do i wait till I can buy a new camera?

...just thought I would let ya know why there are no pics!

Baylee had her 9 month well child visit this week. It went well! she is 98% is height, and 25% in weight. Her weight has plunged, she used to be in the 90's!! she has only gained 1 pound since her 6 month visit. The doctors did not seem concerned though, which was good, and she does look healthy, she is just realllllly tall, and reaaaaly skinny! she is getting brave and standing! she does great, she'll be walking in no time!!

Marcus and I decided we needed to take on a project together, and we picked Baylee's room. WE start in two days! we are going to do waines coatting and some painting, put up curtains and gets some cute decorations! I can't wait. and some day.... I will post pictures of how the house is coming!!

oh and p.s. I LOVE my new bathroom, and i Love being home(no offense mom and dad, you know I love you)

Its back to home we go! thats right we are headed home, in one hour. Im excited to get home, its been time, BUT we are driving through the night so that we can make it there with a nine month old! we should get there between 1-3 am. neither of us are nervous about that, we are just dreading the drive.. you know what I mean. Its been a good visit, I was able to catch up with friends, babysit my cousin Lily, go to Physical Therapy, i started the HCG diet(ive lost 16 pounds!) and had a in-home sitter! ha ha its been nice to have my mom around. Marcus got A LOT of work done, including a big job in park city, and now has work in washington, he is such a good worker, and has a better idea of how to get things started in washington, he is really excited to do his first couple of jobs there, because he knows the kind of owners they are are ones that will get his name out! he is also excited to have his name in the phone book. Its kinda funny he has shown me a few times. We will be back in june for Baylees BIRTHDAY!! can you believe it? and also my brother and his wife are coming out to visit, so it will work out nicely!

Today we went to Julians first bday party at 5 buck pizza. I used to work with his dad, Benji at journeys. and later became friends with his mom, Sarah. We had a good time and Julian is so cute! he is already walking around and has lots of teeth! He was even blowing kisses at Baylee! Super cute!

Little Stinker!

Baylee is turning into quite the busy lady. And quite the stinker. This morning I was in the kitchen makin breakfast she was sitting on the floor next to me, next thing i know, she dumped out a whole bag of cereal and was just sitting there eating it and thinking it was so funny!! She is now pulling herself up onto things, and she has this train that has wheels and she has learned to hold on to it and walk to get around. Im not complaining one bit, I think its funny as long as shes safe! Shes learned that drawers hold lots of fun things, and when cabinets slam, they make a loud noise. and ALL of this she thinks is the funniest thing, and laughs and laughs and laughs. Also she loves the camera, thats why most of the pictures you see shes got her face right up to it. I'll set her down, and grab the camera and within two seconds she is climbing up me to check it out! She has really gotten to be alot of fun I just can't believe she is doing all these things at 71/2 months! I think she will walk around 10 months, that is just my bet!

We went to the boat show last night with my parents and it was tons of fun! A lot more fun than i though it would be, and Baylee even had fun, They had a Big fish tank that A guy was fishing out of and she was just sittin there Laughin, the cutest thing ever!

It was my hubbys birthday on the 10th and he turned 26. We celebrated by going to the pie which is this cool little like "underground" pizza place in salt lake which we all love. Afterwards we went back to my parents house had some cheescake and he opened his present which was... a new PRINTER! ha ha totally lame I know, but thats what he wanted! We are in Utah. and we will probably be here for several months. Marcus has lots of work and we did not want to pass up the opportunity to get some moola. It is slow in WA right now, so we hoped in the car and drove on down! Im excited to see my friends and family(again) but Im ready for some stability! and I officially hate packing/unpacking! I look forward to seeing some of you!

Also before I forget, It was our nephew Eastons bday on the 17th! It was celebrated at Garlands gymnastics, Lots of kids, but totally fun! these were the only pics I managed to get.

As you read in my christmas blog, Grandpa Hoffman passed away on christmas, well grandpa Novak passed away two weeks ago. We each lost a grandpa within a month of each other. It was very sad but we know it was their time to go. unfortunately we weren't able to make either funerals, but we were able to see Grandpa Hoffman in september, and talk to Grandpa Novak on christmas day. They will be missed.

Is it sad that I am just now posting Christmas? Baylees first christmas was lots of fun, she got lots of toys, clothes, food, and a new carseat and stroller! We spent the night at my parents house, did presents and breakfast, and then headed out to Marcus' parents for the rest of the day. I also had a great christmas, Marcus bought me my first guitar! I can kind of play it, and Im excited for lessons. Christmas this year was also a sad one, Grandpa Hoffman passed away, we were lucky to have him come out to our wedding.

Lovely Weather for A Sleigh Ride Together with you!

So my old boss told me how he took his wife to Park City and did a sleigh ride/ dinner combo and I had always thought that would be fun. So I decided to take Marcus up there. It wasn't that cold but we had alot of fun. You meet at the Park city mtn. resort and they take you up the hill to the lodge where they serve you dinner and then back down. The lodge was like country western themed and had a guy playing the guitar. I could't believe how HUGE the horses were. Anyways, it was a fun night out and I wouldn't mind doing it again!

Look at my cute baby! there is a store here in Utah called sassy babies and I am obsessed with the legging and hats they wear! Shes eating solids now and recently started saying Ba Ba and Ma Ma and thats all we hear. We also constantly Hear Marcus saying DA DA!! and it hasn't happened yet, keep trying Marcus!

Tacky Christmas Sweater Party

Our friends invited us to a Tacky Christmas Sweater Party. We had alot of fun going through our moms closets! ha when I pulled out the sweater vest that I wore my mom was kinda sad because she likes that one! but, its the one i wanted to wear. We had a great time, it was friends that Marcus went to high school with and their wives/ girlfriends. We also played white elephants and I won these salt and pepper shakers that are in the shape of people that have huge bums! and Marcus got a care package with portable tooth brushes etc..

So my moms bday is the 4th, and Zachs bday is the 5th, so we usually combine the 2 and go somewhere special. This year we chose the melting pot. We LOVED it. For those of you who have never been there its a Fondue place. and Its my new favorite place. Afterwards, we went over to temple square to see the lights because Marcus has never been there.

My baby is 5 months. I SWEAR I just had her! we had a check up today. she is just about the 90% for height and 70% for weight. What does this mean? this means that out of 100 babies her age, she is taller than 90 of them and heavier than 70 of them! She has her daddys genes. She is 26 inch and weighs 15 lbs. The doctor also said she was a smarty pants, and a show off ha ha. Baylee is rolling over, trying to sit up stands well when you hold her hands. Laughs, talks(very loudly) and she is joy.

I have had so much to catch up on. Sorry if it gets boring or too much but its been about two months! We don't have Internet YET. So my parents decided to be brave and dive up to Kennewick for the weekend! I was excited to show them the house and have them see where we live. And I'll admit it I was looking forward to my mom taking care of Baylee so we could go on a date! BUT while they were here I took them to the country mercantile store, and they had a hay day! I knew they would. For those of you who know and love the Lehi Roller Mills its like that times 20! We could have spent an entire day in there but we went through it quick and got some things we are excited to try. We also enjoyed going swimming at their hotel. I was scared Baylee wouldnt like it but she loved it! I also decided to come home with them because Dean and Mary are going up for thanksgiving and i figured I could catch a ride back with them so it worked out perfectly. We broke the ten hour drive into 2 days and baylee slept during ALL the driving. It was a piece of cake.

Before I moved my mom and I got together with Aunt becky, Emily, Jennifer, Madeline, and Aunt Darlene at the Wee little Witches event out at Gardner Village. I have never been out before and I have been missing out! It was good to see them before I left

Later that night I got together with two of my very good friends Sarah and Rachel. We went to Olive garden and It was good to catch up with them! Rachel was pregnant at the time and her baby Emmitt Cooper Maxwell was born a whole month early on halloween. I was able to see him this week and he is the sweetest little thing! I look at Baylee and its hard to believe that just five months ago she was almost that small!!(he weighs 6 lb 10 oz!) Congrats Rachel!

Pumpkin patch

We drove up to the country mercantile with dean, mary, sarah and easton and had fun at the pumpkin patch. We drove out on a hay ride, picked our own pumpkins and then went into the country mercantile store which is FILLED with syrups and scone mixes and dressing and salsa and on and on and on. It was a place I knew my mom and sister would like. It was a fun outting and we had a great time.

Halloween!!!

Halloween was fun this year because I had a baby to dress up!! Baylee was a cute little caterpillar/glow worm(whatever you call it) And she loved it! Sarah josh and Easton came over for dinner and then we split and went to a trunk or treat in the neighborhood. We only had a few little trick or treaters because our street is pretty drak and kind of hidden but thats okay we didn't have much candy to give them because Marcus ate it all!!(so did I its just easier to blame him)

We are officially moved!! Marcus drove up with his parents and started unpacking. Baylee and I flew up the day after and sarah picked us up in spokane. Its been a long couple of weeks but we are pretty much unpacked! We also have a new addition to our family.. A TAHOE! we had to replace our vehicle and ended up with a 98 chevy tahoe. Its growing on me. Pictures of the house to come later... still...

De Ja Vu

My sister, and her son landon were able to stay for a week after the wedding, we had just seen them for two weeks the end of july and it usually goes six months or so till we see them, so it was a little like de ja vu! but we enjoyed their company because with the move, I don't know when we will see them next! Landon was really sweet with Baylee and loved taking a bath with her.

Now that the wedding is over and Marcus has seen my dress, I can post some of my bridals! OUr photographer was the wife of one of Marys(my mother in law) co-workers. It was her first wedding and first bridals and I must say that she did a great job! People have asked me where the park was and it was memorial grove wich is just east of the Capitol.

3 months

Baylee is now 3 months! we can't believe how fast this is going and how big she has gotten!! Baylee is now starting to roll over, talks alot, smiles is starting to giggle and sleeps great at night!! She was malso a trooper through all the wedding planning. She has her daddy wrapped around her finger. We love Baylee very much and love being parents.

We are married!! yay! we got married last thursday the 24th. We were stiff and bruised but we got through it and it was a beautiful day... pictures to come.

Car Crash

the Tuesday before our wedding Marcus, Baylee and I headed into tooele to get our marriage license and then to get Marcus his ring. On our way out of the court house we pulled behind a Honda Ridgeline at a stoplight. The car was going too slow so marcus went around her. WE went through the next light(it was yellow) and saw in the rear view mirror that she Plowed right through that red light. we got to the next light and we were behind a good size truck waiting for the light to turn when Marcus goes OH CRAP and then BAM she slammed right into us going about 40-50 mph we then slammed into the people in front of us. Airbags deployed, and my feet were on the dash board which sent my knees into my chest. Marcus hit the airbag, and when everything stopped the car was on fire. I kicked the door open and started screaming about Baylee Marcus jumped out and grabbed her, ran her to a witness who had a baby herself while i just stood there and screamed. Im sure I looked ridiculous but I thought my baby was dead. Baylee was fine other than she had glass in her mouth and a bumb on the head. Marcus had airbag bruises and I have a possibly cracked rib and bruises on my arms. It was easily the scariest thing thats ever happened to us and we are lucky and grateful to be alive. The lady apparantly was a diabetic, felt sick and had someone pick her up from work. and then she decided to drive herself to the hospital. She passed out with a blood sugar level of 2.3. That is all we know so far we are waiting for the police report and are currently carless as we sold my car the day before.

Takin Care of business

It has been forever since I posted anything and since there has been so much I will make this quick! First my sister came to visit the end of july, we blessed baylee and she helped with the food, it turned out great. Then the day she left I also flew out to Kennewick where Marcus had already been for a week and a half. I stayed at his sisters house with him and Baylee for 2 weeks! I had a great time, our house looks wonderful(pictures will come soon) he worked really hard on it, and Sarah and Josh were so nice to let us stay. I'm sure after a month or more of guests they are happy to have their house back! Anyway, I'm excited to move, I will moss my family and friends but we are excited to have our own house and start our own life in WA. We finally set a date! Were getting married the 24th of sept. Just a small family wedding in Orem. Its been really busy and really crazy trying to get everything planned and booked but its all coming together nicely. Baylee is smiling and talking a whole lot its the cutest thing ever! She had an appt. today to get her immunizations. She is in the 90% range for both weight and height!!! Isn't that crazy!!! she is a big baby, its the genes, Marcus was big too. She doesn't look big to me, but i guess next to another baby girl her age she would be! She seems to learn more every day and Marcus and I are enjoying every minute of it.

Blessing Day

Yesterday was Baylees Blessing day. We had it at my grandparents house in Orem and it was a sweet occasion. After the blessing we had dinner that my sister made and it was really good! Thanks for everyone that came and for family that couldn't make it we missed you! Her dress was made by my grandma and both me and my sister were blessed in it. My sister is in town with her son Landon, and we decided to take him bowling for the first time. It was alot of fun and Baylee slept right through it! Marcus beat us all, Zach came in second, and the rest aren't really worth mentioning. but it was fun!

Two weeks

It's been a long two weeks! I'm finally feeling a lot better! The first week was pretty rough I'm not gonna lie. I'm lucky to have such a good baby that sleeps a lot(knock on wood). Today was her two week pediatrician appt. It went pretty well I was nervous because I went to my WIC appt yesterday and the ladies there weighed Baylee and said she was almost nine pounds and said she was in the 70% weight range and really made me feel like I was over feeding her. I'm breast feeding though and I feed her when shes hungry! So I went home feeling like I was going to be one of those moms you see on TV with the obese baby and all they do is eat and eat and eat. BUT today at the pediatrician she weighed in at 8 lbs 2 0z and the doc said that was great and only put her slightly above the 50% range. Stupid WIC ladies!! Baylees a healthy eater. Marcus still remains busy busy with work. He is planning a trip to Washington at the end of the month. He is going on a boat trip with his sister, has two flooring jobs, and is going to start working on our house so its ready to move in in October. Baylee and I are going to fly up there on the 6th of Aug and stay for two weeks. Were excited to see Aunt sarah and also scope out where we will be living!

We have a baby! I went to my doctors appointment on thursday morning and due to high blodd pressure the doctor decided it wasn't safe to let me wait any longer and sent me to labor and delivery to be enduced. I was really really nervous and already had pitocin and contractions when Marcus got there, which was noon. They broke my water at three, my contractions got stronger, I got the epidural around 4:30, which was amazing, I don't know why I waited so long, and then we just sat and waited and waited, finally at about 4:30 the next morning the doctor came in and said I was running a high fever, and was only dilated to a seven! she said to wait about an hour to give me one more chance and then they would do a C section. an hour later I was only an eight. Next thing I know they start making me swallow some nasty pills and gave me a stronger epidural and then wheeled me into the OR. I was so drugged all I remember was hearing her cry and then Marcus was holding Baylee next to me and she was adorable! He was so excited he got to bathe her and pick out her cute bow.

We stayed in the hospital until sunday night. The nurses were all great and Baylee is a good little sleeper! I'm still in some pain around the incision but its getting better! Heres some pictures I know every parent says this but I'm pretty sure I have the cutest little girl ever!

Baby Shower

Im super late getting things posted, but on the 13th my cousins threw me a baby shower. and I-80 got closed down and I was stuck in my car for 5 hours and completely missed my own baby shower!! I was really upset for a couple of days but there wasn't anything i could do about it. I did make it to the shower in time though to see some of my family. I tell you what those thank you cards were kind of awkward to make, it went kind of like, Thank you for comming to my shower! Sorry i didn't see you! ha it's a funny story now but I really was upset!

Zachs Graduation

Today was my little brothers graduation. He was the last one in the family to graduate. Afterwards my family went to Famous Daves for dinner before he took off with his friends.

I had some friends throw me a baby shower this week. It was fun to see everyone! we didn't get everyone in the picture as some came and went but here is what we got!

Quick Update

I'm ready for this baby! We bought the travel system finally! It took me a while to decide which brand I wanted and what colors I wanted. My sister sent me a coupon for travel systems at Babies R us so I decided on the Chicco Synergy Red and tan system. Reds not my most favorite color but now that its set up I love it and its super Easy to use!!
As far as school goes I finished the salon work at the beginning of May so I didn't have to be at school anymore, but I had to wait for the Finals at the end of the month. One final is written and one is an actual hands on. The hands on was stressful to get ready for. Everything has to be labeled and you have to remain 100% sanitary at all times, for example, you pick something up off the table and use it, you cant put it back down. Sounds easy but its easy to forget about. My mom was my model, she was a good sport becasue its a 2 1/2 hour test and your model can't talk or look at you. I had to say several times, mom whatever you do, DO NOT talk to me! She did well I was shocked. I passed the hands on, and i had to take the written twice. The first time I took it I failed by 1% I got a B but you have to get an A. The second time was a breeze though! The test was 105 questions and was mostly Anatomy. YES, anatomy. I was proud of myself. So i recieved my Graduation papers yestrerday and can take state boards at any time now!

Marcus still remains really busy with work! Which were thankful for but I do get bored. When your baby can come at any time, and your at home alone with nothing to do and no car(my car is broke) time drags!! Were off to Park City for the weekend my parents rented a condo for two nights. My older brother and his wife are in town for Zachs Graduation so we decided to have a get away. It will be nice to be entertained for a few days!

36 weeks

Ive haven't posted anything in a while because not a whole lot has been going on! But I think I have a few things to talk about now. I'm done with school!! YAY! All i have left is mock practicals, which is a run through of what we do at state boards and then state boards so hopefully iu can get it all done and have my license on the way by the time the baby is here. Marcus has stayed really really busy with work he has been helping my grandparents put tile and paint their house in Lehi that they rent out, and he has also been building walls at his dads warehouse which apparantly has been a big job!So here we are with a month and a half to go till Baylee's here and all I have to do is just sit and wait, and get bigger!
I had an interesting experience my last day of school when i went to the cafeteria to get lunch. To make a long story short the lunch lady cam up to me asked what I was having and when I said A girl she said, I know she showed me. I was like what is this lady talking about!! then she went on to tell me she sees aouras and my baby showed her fuschia and apparantly that means shes going to be artistic. It was one of those ooooooookkkkaaayyyy...... moments and i got a good chuckle out of it but if its legit its kinda cool to think about!
Friday night I dragged Marcus to the dinner theatre at my old high school. I was in it all three years and at first Marcus was like what is this!! but ended up having a lot of fun. It brought back a lot of good memories of high school.

Long weekend

So I went to upload all the pictures on my camera and on my old computer there was a little slot for the memory card but I couldn't find one on my new one and when I got marcus he said, "oh you need the cord." and I said, "well where is it?" and his response was, "I put it in storage." great! So I borrowed Mary's because I HAD to get the pictures of the crib set up. So more pictures to come when I can figure out what to do exactly. So Friday was the first day of my "salon" training, meaning no more bookwork, tests, and maniquen hands. So I had to have a live model for a manicure and pedicure and who better to do than Marcus! and it just so happened he didn't have work that day so he graciously came in not knowing that in order to pass them off before working on the public, I had to paint the nails. The fingernails had to be red because in our state board test we have to use red its harder to keep clean than other colors becasue of th pigment. It was pretty funny when I pulled the polish out at first he was not too happy, but when my instructor Alise told him it was mandatory, he agreed, with the promise of me taking it off right away. Then when we got to the pedicure I thought I was pretty funny by painting them pink with white polka dots. Poor guy, it was torture. but he must not be too embaressed becasue he let me take pictures and he still has the pink toe nails. On saturday, my mom and I went down to Springville to my cousin Emily and Aunt Becky's house to start working on the bumper pads and dust ruffle for the crib. Well we got going on it and ended up finishing the whole thing in a day, and it was a really really long day but well worth it because i LOVE it. and I actually did do some of the sewing and I cut out all the fabric. I was proud of myself I've never done anything like this. And of course if it wasn't for Emily it would have been a mess! My mom and Aunt Becky worked on a cute quilt, they got it all tied, and then started to crochet the edge of another cute blanket. It was a fun day, thanks mom emily and Aunt Becky!

First Blog

Well I decided Myspace and Facebook are getting lame and after reading my sisters and sister-in-law to be's blogs I decided to create one of my own! There won't be very many pictutres till after june but i can still post whats going on. I finally got moved out of my headache apartment and I'm glad to say I don't have to deal with roommates, besides my own family, ever again! My last roommate really left a big big mess for me to clean up between her uncleaned bathroom of six months, and all the friends she would have over and damages to the apartment they caused. I was lucky to have my parents and Marcus help me pack up and clean or else it would have taken me days! So now I am no longer living in Layton, Im now out in Stansbury Park and the only downside is Im still attending school mon-sat in Kaysville.. it takes me about 45 minutes to get there. But hopefully(cross my fingers) I will be done with Nail Tech school by the end of April and I can go take my state boards and get my license and be done with it. Its been a struggle financially to quit my job and go back to school but I have absolutely loved every minute of it and it was the right thing for me to do! I think that I have had a fairly easy pregnancy so far! The complaints are the usual, cant get comfortable, always hungry, breaking out, I feel huge, but Ive been lucky to (so far) have everything go the way its supposed to and the Dr. says baby looks healthy, she says Im in trouble though they can never get her to hold still during heartbeats and ultrasounds, but everything is normal. Wedding plans are the same, theres not a whole lot of them yet. Ha it just seems like everytime I find a place, or come up with a plan that works best for us, there is some con to it but it will all work out the way its supposed to!
